NJBIZ Names AmeriQuest Transportation Services in Cherry Hill as No. 1 Among New Jersey’s Top Fifty Fastest-Growing Companies

AmeriQuest also was one of only five companies from South Jersey to be honored at the awards ceremony.

SOMERSET, NJ, December 1, 2009 – NJBIZ, New Jersey’s leading statewide business newspaper, named and honored the top 50 businesses that have made significant contributions to the growth of New Jersey, citing AmeriQuest Transportation Services in Cherry Hill as the No. 1 fastest-growing company.

AmeriQuest, the privately owned corporation formed by Doug Clark, has been a leading provider of comprehensive fleet management services in the U.S. and Canada since 1997. Sales revenue in 2008 was reported at $524 million, exhibiting a three-year growth rate of 318%. “Being recognized as New Jersey’s No. 1 fastest-growing company is testament to our ability to weather economic ups and downs. It also shows the value of the services we provide to the transportation industry,” Clark said.

In order to be eligible for nomination, companies needed to show revenue of at least $500,000 in each of the fiscal years ending 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 and show revenue growth in 2008, as compared to 2005 (a four-year period). Eligible companies were to be for-profit entities headquartered in New Jersey. AmeriQuest was among only five companies from South Jersey to receive the Top Fifty Fastest-Growing Awards presented November 16 in Somerset Park.

Presenting sponsor, Rothstein Kass, calculated the nominations and then ranked the companies according to revenue growth over the four-year period of 2005-2008. Both dollar and percentage increases were taken into consideration. This ranking formula led to recognition of the 2009 New Jersey’s Fifty Fastest Growing Companies consisting of both large and small companies.

In addition to the recognition at the awards ceremony, the Top Fifty Fastest-Growing Companies are profiled in a special supplement to the November 23 issue of NJBIZ. The complete list of honorees is published in ranked order, along with information on each company’s financial growth.
